Reflection - Sinigang

 Sinigang

by: Aubrey J. Villaceran

I've learned to be resilient and go over any obstacles that come your way. Everyone has experienced it because it is a part of life, yet some prefer to refer to it as a problem rather than a challenge. I like to refer to it as a challenge since everything we go through in life is there for a reason; perhaps it will teach us something or prepare us for something. The difficulties we'll face are few, and I had faith that once we get through them, delicious success would be waiting for us, and we'd be able to lead tranquil, content lives.

I discovered that everybody is just like Sinigang. Each of us is unique because of the variety of traits and qualities that make up who we are. Similar to how different vegetables are added to a Sinigang depending on who would eat it, we have attributes that we do not like and we adjust based on what we believe will improve us. It seems as though we are creating the perfect recipe for ourselves. Finally, we shall all find someone who will adore us for who we are because we exactly match their preferences, like Sinigang with a variety of vegetables.
